The cooking begins.

I like to cook the steak and onions together in the same pan. I think that the onions, especially while in a frying pan, retain a lot of tbd flavor of the meat which really adds a whole new parallel to your steak nomming experience.

The rice is cooking well in the background here. It'll probably be done before the steak, which isn't a bad thing. I like having my rice a little bit colder than steak, I think it just goes down a lot smoother.

It also looks like I'll be having Lemon Iced Tea for lunch again.

  1. Throw some green peppers in with those onions? Maybe sliced mushrooms? Olive oil or butter in the pan?
